Does Blue Underground have the rights to Torso?

I was looking around and noticed that the Anchor bay version is OOP and with Blue Underground releasing old AB stuff I wondered if this might be on the schedule yet, also anyone else think it would be cool if BU could get with Quentin Tarantino & Robert Rodriguez and make the Double Feature that they cut for the actors on Grindhouse to watch an official release? On a side note does anyone know what trailers were used by QT between Zombi & Torso or if any were shown befor the features

I'd say chances are pretty good considering it seems like all BU does is release old AB titles these days. If it does get re-issued, don't expect anything more than a clear case and whatever specs the AB disc had. BU doesn't do anything to improve old releases, they just repackage.

you do know that the AB cut is Torso is incomplete, an Another World Entertainment import is the full uncut version.

Be careful of what you buy, though. Xploitedcinema says that AWE release is identical to the X-Rated Cult release, which is NON-anamorphic (even though they list this AWE as 16:9). By "uncut", they only mean one scene was missing off the AB release...at the beginning, and I don't think it has any gore or nudity. Plus the parts in Italian language only are not subbed in English.

I'll pass on Torso since I'm sure it's a clone of the AB disc, but I never got 10th Victim so I'm all over that shit.

Ordered it last week, but it was only around $9-10 so I'm fine with it.

Great news for those who don't have the movie yet.

For anyone curious about the Shameless UK release of Torso:

I have the old AB disc and it's anamorphic so it must be just a clone with no new features.

AB weren't the licensee, you see, don may jr was (and is) and took the licenses with him to BU.

I'm glad someone knows that it wasn't all Anchor Bay getting these great movies. Didn't Bill Lustig also license alot of the films?

Either way, glad to see Torso will be back in print in the US as it is a great gialli.

I'll probably check out The 10th Victim at some point.

Yeah, no shit. I've put off buying the Canadian release because it left off the extras from the OOP AB set, not to mention it replaced Wicked Warden with Tigress of Siberia (which was also a PAL disc). Come on, BU!
