Of Mice and Men Special Edition

I ordered the special edition of Of Mice and Men (1992) from Columbia House. It appeard I didn't get the SE but some other version. The SE picture on their site has a banner on the top that says "special edition" but the one I got doesn't have that. It also doesn't list the special features that it said comes eith the SE on the back cover of the DVD. CH only lists the SE version and no other one.

I checked other sites like Amazon and some have the banner and some don't. all of them say they have the same features, but it doesn't appear mine has them. I haven't opened it yet as I may return it.

Are there different versions of this movie out there (othere than the Cliff Noters version) or is it just an SE edition?

I have the Special Edition, which is UPC 27616-88426. I believe the regular
version is UPC 27616-85011.

The Special Features, listed on the back, are:
- audio commentary with Gary Sinese
- in conversation - Gary Sinese and Horton Foote
- deleted scenes with commentary
- screen and make-up tests
- making 0f - featurette
- trailer

I know something that would make it better .
Have the Of Mice And Men (1939) and (1992) package together that would be so cool.

I purchased the original 1939 movie at the Steinbeck Archive in Salinas and got the '92 Sinise remake on Deep Discount three years ago.

Of the two, the '92 SE is by far the superior film and package, as Sinise gives an absorbing commentary and Jean Smart, sexy as usual, shows up in the deleted scenes.

The Sinise Of Mice and Men was released barebones in 2001 and as the SE in late 2004. Check the issue date and make sure it says 2004 on it before buying.
