I am there for Deadly Friend. WB said in the chat at HTF it was getting released, and its nice to see them live up to their word.

Someone's Watching Me!

Never seen it but will need to buy to go with every John Carpenter movie I have, except for this and Elvis. Glad they are selling it seperately. Is this even a good movie?

It has its fair share of cliches, but is an above average TVM overall. Glad to see it finally make an appearance on DVD.

This is incredible. I've been waiting for all the old Amicus anthologies for years and now they're all coming at once.

I might quit my job in September and just sit home and watch old horror movies.

islandclaws 07-18-07 07:44 PM

Wow. Awesome looking set! I've got the old Dr. Giggles disc and a boot of Someone's Watching Me, so upgrades on both will be most welcome. Plus we get Deadly Friend? Count me in big time for this set.

EdTheRipper 07-18-07 08:45 PM

Sweet...I'm definitely in for the set.

I think it was a Largo Entertainment film? If so,that may be why. Since i noticed WB also has Unlawful Entry on their double feature disc with Executive Decision. And Unlawful Entry was previously released by Fox. So something with the rights to Largo films must have happened I guess.

I've been waiting on Deadly Friend for quite some time now. I LOVE that cover. I may buy the box, never heard of the other films (besides Dr. Giggles), but I love old horror movies. I'll have to decide.

Didn't care for Dr. Giggles though.

You're absolutely right, Dr. Giggles was a Largo movie. Oh, it's out at last. Finally I can toss my VHS copy and buy a DVD for less then $50+ :)

Just had a quick refresher on some of those and titles, and I am in for the boxset. Im glad some more modern horror titles are getting some announcements. I just need a couple more 80s slasher flicks to get announced and Halloween is looking sorted.

Matthew Ackerly 07-19-07 07:24 AM

WOW, September is killing my bank account.

Dr.Giggles in widescreen!!!!!!!!!

Lastdaysofrain 07-19-07 08:09 AM

Tenacious D 07-19-07 08:21 AM

Wow. I too have been waiting for Deadly Friend forever. I'm in!

From Beyond the Grave (1973) is a special little film for me.

It has a really good cast of British character actors in near career best performances - especially Donald Pleasance, Peter Cushing and Margaret Leighton. Some of the stories are very effective, particularly the one with the strange timber door. Really, really looking forward to seeing a decent copy of this.
