Join the DVD Talk Review Panel - Now Accepting Applications

We have a spot open on the DVD Talk Review Panel, so we're taking applications again.

If you are interested in being a part of the DVD Talk Review Panel please email me the following to [email protected]

- A sample DVD Review [You will NOT be considered without a writing sample]
Here are a few examples to look at for format/etc:
http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=29133
http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=29161
http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=28993

- The Genres you enjoy/would like to review.

- A brief run down of the equipment specs you use to view DVDs

- If you are interested in reviewing Adult DVDs as well and which genres you'd
be interested in.

- If you have a HD-DVD player or Blu-Ray Disc Player. (if so if you have a 1080p display system).

- Where you are located (Must be in US)

- What are your favorite DVDs and least favorite DVDs and why?

- What you think you can bring to the DVD Talk Review Panel?

Reviewers must be willing to review at least 4 DVDs per month and turn reviews around within 14 days of getting a DVD. We send out hundreds of DVDs per month to our current review panel (of about 50 writers).

We have a great Review system designed from the ground up by a DVD reviewer which is centered around matching our reviewers with the movies they like.

Thanks
Geoff

I'd love too be a DVDtalk reviewer but sadly I live up here in Canada & I admittedly need to improve on my spelling/grammar in order to write a real good review.
Anyways the guys reviewing DVDs currently are doing a great job & congrats to whoever gets the spot.

I'd love the opportunity, however my equipment isn't exactly stellar.

I'd love to open the call up to Canadians, but mailing discs to Canada is not an uncomplicated task. Some great writers up north, a pity it wasn't easier!!!

Yeah, shipping things back & forth can be a big hassle & I wish it was easier as well. If I ever move to the states I'll most definitely send in an application & improve my spelling/grammar.

Thanks everyone who sent in their application. I've got a TON of them to go through. I think we've got all the applications we need for mainstream reviewers now, but we do still need more Adult Reviewers.

I hate to say this but I would so like to do this but I already compress too much of my time already.

Maybe soon hopefully I"ll be ready for the casting call.

Just noticed this thread. Any chance you're still accepting applications, gkleinman? I write DVD reviews for my newspaper and am looking to do a little bit more, gain more experience. I could easily provide you a link to my columns page on the newspaper's entertainment site.

I myself am also intrigued by this notion, and didn't even notice this thread. Anyway, I would love to send an application if it is at all possible; I've been a huge film buff all my life and have been in the DVD game since 1997. I also wrote movie reviews for my high school newspaper and would happily send a sample review, answers to questions, and anything else needed.

I also forgot to mention how I am very willing to expand my horizons in writing, something I have taken pride in for an extremely long time.
