Luckily Universal HD has shown this a few times... horrible HD transfer, but better than I remember years ago

I want The Magnificent Ambersons and
the horribly cheesy "Summer Camp Nightmare"...
and the 80's flick "It Takes Two" (this isnt the Olsen twins film, its a movies about a newlywed who buys a fake sportscar before the wedding)

I'd like:

Robert Towne's "Personal Best"
Philip Ridley's "The Reflecting Skin"
Richard Loncraine's "Full Circle" ("The Haunting of Julia")

why do we need another "I don't think these...ever hit DVD" thread? there is like one a week now. shouldn't they just be compiled or something and not constantly re-iterated over and over?

I think these type of threads should be front and center until every one of these films are released. I don't care how long it takes. Go to the dvd journal and see what people are asking for on dvd in their missing in action section. The list grows longer every day.

No, because it ruins the moment, and keeps the database search requests down to a minimum.

Endangered Species (1982). Robert Urich.

Needs a 16x9 Anamorphic, clean soundtrack, cleaned video! I don't think this is on DVD? Is it?

And yet another vote for Cannery Row. The critics hated it, but I love that film. What a great collection of characters.

Electric Dreams. For years it was about not being able to get the music rights. I think I last heard that no one is really sure who owns the rights to the film anymore. How can that be...?

Inside Moves. Doesn't the director, Richard Donner, have enough clout to give this a nudge?

Hot Stuff. Sort of a Burt Reynolds comedy without Burt Reynolds. A very funny film.

That's about it for me. I've got these on VHS but the look like crap!

This whole thing with Paramount and 1492 just really gets on my nerves, it is so annoying. I have been waiting years for the region 1 dvd, I have wanted to buy this for years on DVD. Other countrys have released it, there are even 2-packs and 3-packs out now in other parts of the world featuring it. Australia for crying out loud has a nice 2-pack of 1492 and Green Card, titled Essential Depardieu from Umbrella Ent. This has been released everywhere else, it's annoying. It was also announced and pulled for unknown reasons in the fall of 2004 and had a UPC#. It seems it may never see release in the USA on DVD, maybe because of complicated rights issues, I don't know for sure. I just wish they would barebones this film already and release it in October of 2007. Get it over with and get it out! It's a Ridley Scott film, has Sigourney Weaver and Gerard Depardieu in it, and a celebrated score from Vangelis, it's about Christopher Columbus whom Americans celebrate, and would be new to DVD. If that's not marketable, tell me wtf is!

DVD Luver - I hear ya about 1492. I think I've made comments in the handful of threads every 6-9 months when someone asks about this movie, but liek you I'm hoping to hell they just release anything domestically. I'm fairly certain it will hit Region 1 DVD and Region A HD sometime in the future. Of course it may end up being released as some kind of 20 year anniversary edition in 2012, but as long as it's supervised by Scott, especially since he's overseen just about all of his releases to DVD thus far, then I'll wait a little longer. I simply couldn't wait a long time ago, so I went to other region 2 and 3 just to have something on DVD. But from what I've read, just about all the other region releases have a lot to be desired. Mine certainly do.
