Should we just make a sticky at the top of the forum, listing the different types of tracking sites and their pros / cons? It seems that someone asks this question at least every other week.

Does anyone know of any other sites? Theres gotta be more than just DVDSPOT and DVDaf on the internet. If so, let me know. Thanks. I want to view my collection just by the covers, similar to DVD Profiler in the lower left hand corner.

I'll stick with MS Access. I could care less if it's online.

I'd go with DVD Profiler over the Collectorz software. ($30 vs $39 for the full versions). And I'd go with DVDSpot over DVDAf since DVDAf's redesign. That site went from good to almost worthless overnight.

I use Excel. Its free and easy.
I don't need my collection on-line and I don't need all the glitz that comes with these other programs. All I need to know is exactly what I have and what is missing. Both can be easily done with Excel.

If your a Mac person, I recommend Delicious Library. Although I dont think you can put your collection online, it has a very nice UI and the ability to add titles by scanning the barcode with the camera in by macbook pro made it much easier to enter the ~1100 discs I had when I got it.

Wow. Everytime this topic comes up, I am amazed by some people's cheapness. Dvdprofiler is by far the best option for catologing a dvd collection. I have tried a bunch of others and keep coming back to profiler. 30 bucks for lifetime license is nothing.
Oh and, Microsoft word and access are definitely not free.

I love having my collection online. Sharing the list with friends easily saves a lot of time. And I love being able to check what I have while in a store. I realize that those with offline databases can just keep them online via email, but that would require more updating than I like. Online databases rock.
DVDspot is my choice.
Silly aside: I swear that half of my posts end up being post #41 or a multiple thereof, putting my post at the top of the page (with my settings).

If I did want an online DB I would probably go for with Profiler. But, since I'm a DB programmer I did my own.
I even have a print utility in Access that prints custom size covers for copied DVDs, or for my DVDs in the dreaded snapper cases that are converted to ThinPaks.
