Forgive me for being late to the game on this (I just got on the wagon after many busy thursday nights and no DVR), but I'm wondering what episode it was that had the UK folks writing it. Was that this past season?

Yes. Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant wrote "The Convict" -- Season 3, Episode 9.

Which gave us our introduction to "prison Mike" (on the cover). I've found that episode has a lot of replay value.

I actually thought that "prison Mike" was one of the few things that didn't work on this show. The front cover is great, though.

Bippity Boppity, I'll be buying this Zoppity!

Prison Mike on the cover is awesome, and really sells this show as just plain fun. The Season 1 and 2 covers had no indication that the show was anything other than dry and bland.

The webisodes were on the Season 2 DVDs.

While I'm a huge fan of the show, I am getting kinda pissy about the fact that Carell has not done one friggin' show commentary for any of the 3 released seasons on DVD. It's like an F-U to the fans, imo. Meanwhile, most of the other cast members routinely do them enthusiastically. Plus, there was an Office convention this weekend in Scranton, and guess who was too busy to be there? I guess Steve's too busy cashing in.

Before you go and bash a single cast member for not showing up at the convention please remember that Stave, guy who plays Jim, guy who plays Dwight and chick who plays Pam weren't there either. Also take note that Toby was suppose to be there but was a no show.

Follow that up with the poor man who plays Bob vance being there and unable to speak at all and during the Q&A had to have the older chick talk for him. That's devotion to the fans and personally I found it to be more fun with these guys than have the more popular stars there since we didn't have to deal with absurd security and annoying teenage girls.

Yes, but "guy who plays Dwight" (Rainn Wilson) actually did the show one year. Has Steve? (not being sarcastic, I really don't know)

Eh? Carell was on nearly every commentary for the first season set.

I personally don't get upset about this kind of thing. Carell has no obligation to do anything but appear in the show. He does that, and he does it damn well.

Hasn't he been averaging like 2-3 frigging movies each year? In addition to doing this series?

Seems to me like he's a bit busy to be doing conventions or commentaries. He can't be everywhere at once.

Pretty easy to critique from the outside. Try living his schedule for a couple of weeks and then tell us if you want to go to a convention.
