I've got about 50 on my wishlist... but I've pretty much stopped with DVD purchases...(holding out for HD) Simpsons season 10 will likely be the only one I buy the rest of the yr.

From my DVD Spot info:

258 Titles owned, but not all are movies.

Looking at the stats, 17 are music/concert dvds and 13 are TV series sets, and off the top of my head there's also the Alien Legacy bonus disc (mail in offer) and the King Kong Production Diaries set which aren't movies.

So that puts the total number of movies down to 226.

I have 550 dvd's. The total could be more because I also have a few sets that I count as 1. The Mel Brooks set is a prime example so individual titles would be even more but i'm sticking with counting box sets as 1 so 550 dvd's is what I have.

Well Over 970. Should be over 1000 by mid-august, if not there already.

I stopped counting when I surpassed 1500. The wife complains about the size of the dvd collection from time to time, so I offered to liquidate some of her chick flicks. That didn't go over too well...

376 according to Collectorz.com, but that includes quite a few trilogy and collector sets and there's a few barcodes it won't take

as soon as I finish adding my recent purchases to DVDSpot I'll be just over 4000 titles.

According to DVDSpot, I have 4,339 titles on 4,115 dvds.

280, down from around 800 at its highest, and more recently in the ballpark of 450-500.

I kept buying movies, but because I always prefer to have something new to watch since there are so many films to be discovered, I could no longer justify simply owning that many DVDs and only watching them once. I've slimmed it down and will keep it around this size from now on by selling/trading things if a chunk of new discs are purchased. I don't watch the extras either, so renting most things will be fine for me in the future.

well i just added some more movies to my collection, went from 153 to 162 since i made this thread.

DVDAF is showing over 1200 - I would say if you count titles since DVDAF seems t not be doing that today, that I am almost to 1500.

Since other people are being a little more descriptive, A shade under 100 HD DVD and BD, probably around 50 Disney, and a ton of TV.

This number may drastically decrease soon as I am starting feel that they own me. I just love them so much I don't know what to trim.

Just recently hit 1,000. Profiler says 999 but I'm waiting to add a new one I bought the other day.

I bought a bunch of those Sauder DVD stands that hold about 280 discs each. Right now I've got 8 of them, but, unfortunately, I'm already out of room again and need to order another.

As of this post, I have 1,082 DVDs (counting sets as 1 DVD), comprising 1,215 titles.

And I still need to get more!
