Guy Ritchie's Revolver--->Any time soon?
I'm talking about this movie: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0365686/
What's holding up this release? It can't be that it's bad as many people suggest, Swept Away had a DVD release after all.

I wonder why it's not been released in Region 1? Been on UK DVD for ages. Lionsgate UK own the rights (with them buying Redbus Film Distribution) but it seems there's no distributor in the US or Canada for anything to do with the film.
It's a bad film for sure but it's got some interesting actors in it and I liked some of the posters.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Revolver-Jas.../dp/B000BKUY78 That's the highest price DVD I've ever seen in the UK. Compare it to the resellers' value!

I am shocked this has not come out to the States yet. I've heard almost nothing but bad reviews, but they would have to figure that Guy Richie's name alone (ok..."Director of Snatch") will sell copies on that alone.

i have the r2uk dvd of this. when i first saw it, i didn't like it at all but after repeted viewings i enjoy it now. it's not in the same vein as snatch or lock, stock but once i was able to get over that, i find it to be a rather good film.

Many people will hate this movie initially, especially Guy Ritchie fans.
It's a very acerbic, existential movie wrapped up in a gangster-genre shell - now whether or not it works is another matter, but going into it expecting Snatch or Lock-Stock will leave you severely disappointed. I personally liked it, but I knew what to expect going in, that, and I'm weird...

I just saw a trailer for this on Yahoo Movies.

Looks like December 7th. I got a kick out the trailer, and didn't realize it was already out for so long.

And yes, I know that Swept Away is a different genre compared to his other three films, but when you consider that there were plenty of people that claimed that Richie's "return to form" was even worse, that doesn't bode well.

Saw this like a year or two ago and it wasnt bad but not what i expected. It was definitely different than Lock Stock and Snatch and Im sure better than Swept Away but ill pass unless it has been reedited or is different than what I saw before.
