Great movies with a disappointing DVD release

These are the movies off the top of my head that I feel deserve much better:
1. Raising Arizona
2. Road Warrior
3. Murder by Death (only extra a lame interview with Neil Simon)
4. Poltergeist (saw where this is supposed to have a SE soon- thank goodness)
5. Full Metal Jacket
6. Zulu/Zulu Dawn
7. It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World (not the longer, restored VHS version but a much shorter 161 minute version- disappointing)
8. Waterloo
Which movies out there do you think deserve better?

Executive Decision One of the great pre-9/11 era airplane hijack movies has one of the worst anamorphic transfers and a totally barebones dvd.

Deep Rising - One of my guilty pleasures. A fun sea monster movie with a great score from the late Jerry Goldsmith. But it still has a godawful non-anamorphic transfer.

Death Becomes Her - one of my favorite movies, and one that I never get tired of watching, no matter how many times I've seen it, and we're stuck with a DVD that's not only practically barebones, but is also... fullscreen.

Wall Street has a poor anamorphic transfer (so happy a new release is on the way).

Both from Fox & from James Cameron:

The Abyss - despite great extras, the film isn't anamorphic
True Lies - not anamorphic, no extras but a trailer

Ransom - They botched the double dip both with no anamorphic picture and no extended cut.

Chinatown

True Romance (why in the world does this movie not have a decent release after all these years???)

Are you talking about the 2 Disc SE? I thought it was really well done: 3 commentary tracks, deleted scenes, a few featurettes, selected scene commentaries from 4 of the actors, etc. What problems did you have with it?

Twilight Samurai- a non-anamorphic release... in 2004. Inexcusable.

4. Poltergeist (saw where this is supposed to have a SE soon- thank goodness)
I can think of alot of movies that have has disappointing DVD release but Poltergeist is def. one of them that needed a better transfer. The OR DVD release wasn't bad but it just wasn't that great.
At least (Altrough useless) you had the choice of Fool Screen or Widescreen but the were flippin' discs & the transfer could have been cleaned up abit.
The extras could have been better to considering that Craig T. Nelson wasn't doing much at the time, he finished Coach in 97' (Theres a TV ON DVD sets s1 & s2 which wins for on of the most poorly made TV ON DVD sets ever!) & The other remaining (Alive) actors weren't doing to terribly much at the time either so they could have done a commentary track & some interviews.
Really looking foward to the SE.
Beatlejuice is another on that got a poor first DVD release which thankfully as well is supposed to be getting a SE release as well!

It's not my favorite movie of all time or anything, but I've got a soft spot for The Edge (1997, with Anthony Hopkins and Alex Baldwin). Sadly, the old non-anamorphic DVD release has yet to be upgraded.

Memphis Belle - Worse than VHS! A nice hi-def version was on HBO this weekend, so why are we stuck with the current release?

The Last Emperor - Best Picture, 1987. Horrendous non-anamorphic transfer, but help is on the way! Thank you Criterion!!

Cool Hand Luke is getting a 4k transfer for a future HD-DVD release.

Borat - I thought there would be more extras.

Dead Poet's Society - no extended cut for the most recent SE

Oklahoma! - the TODD-AO version looks like doggy poo
