I love NC-17.

It's about time but after waiting this long I might as well wait for whatever HD format it's going to end up on. Maybe, the Jpn R2 version will be more interesting with extras.

G-Rex 06-07-07 10:31 PM

Wow. The same day as Death Proof? Nice!

chase3001 06-07-07 10:36 PM

Is there any chance at all that this will be released on the Criterion label?

DVD Polizei 06-07-07 10:54 PM

I hope not.

What would that change? Nothing.

MJG87 06-07-07 11:26 PM

Hope this will be on HD DVD

Josh H 06-07-07 11:27 PM

Hope this is finally actually coming out.

Yeah, hopefully they release the HD DVD the same day as the regular DVD. Although I have my doubts that a regular DVD is even being released.

Though, with a street date coinciding with Death Proof, I'd be willing to bet that it's accurate.

Four disc set!?!

ReduxGuy 06-08-07 12:01 AM

YES!!! My dream of a 4-disc Kill Bill set has come true!!! All I need is the announcement of DTS, Tarantino commentary, and ALL trailers to be included and I'll die a happy man!

Rogue588 06-08-07 12:13 AM

Whoa.

Wannabe 06-08-07 12:27 AM

$49.99 MSRP - $39.99 here: http://turnerclassic.moviesunlimited...asp?sku=D55293

Way overpriced.

ReduxGuy 06-08-07 12:28 AM

For the complete version of Kill Bill - and 4 discs, no less - it's worth every penny.

.... or to pay off the Grindhouse debt !!!

I think Tarantino has left this for too long for the 'average Joe' to really care about double dipping. It's only for the 'fan boys' - and then - what are we really going to get here ???!!! new scenes ??....... commentaries ???..... what can he really put onto 4 discs ?? Blade Runner on 4 discs = yes / Kill Bill - mmmmm why ??

(is anyone else sick and tired of people posting comments such as ... "gee .. I hope this gets a HD release !!")

Of course it is to you. This release will allow you to "die a happy man." :)

I'm a huge fan of Kill Bill, but if all that's different is the R2 part 1 changes and the lack of the intro to part 2, I'll be disappointed. How different will this feel, really, compared to just watching the two separate volumes back to back?

CertifiedTHX 06-08-07 01:03 AM

Um... is this really true? I mean... is this really true?

Wait, back up-- a four-disc set of the whole bloody affair is actually coming? The date is actually set? -eek-

I don't think I believe this yet. It still feels like a rumor. I'm excited, yes, but I'll be more so when the official press release is published.

Three words: Holy F---ing Shit.

I resigned myself that it would be another 8 years before we got a decent DVD of it.

The Valeyard 06-08-07 01:23 AM

I also see (on the Turner site) that Death Proof is going to be 2 discs!

Ooh. If it's two discs, perhaps:

- Both cuts of the film
- DTS
- extensive documentaries
- more deleted scenes
- outtakes
- Grindhouse trailers
