I also tried watching the chronological Memento and I got about 20 minutes in before I shut it off. Sounded much better on paper.

I sometimes watch the first 20 minutes (the black and white parts) to pick up on more clues.

I know what you mean. I watched it the whole way through, but the movie works much better when played backwards.

CriEnglish.com is reporting (via Hangzhou's City Express) that "Kill Bill" Vol. 1 & Vol. 2 executive producer E. Bennett Walsh has revealed details of a possible third and fourth film:

The plots of Kill Bill 3 and 4 have been shaped and there is a chance director Quentin Tarantino will return to China to shoot them, an executive producer of the first two films said on Friday.

Bennett Walsh said at the Shanghai International Film Festival the third film involves the revenge of two killers whose arms and eyes were hacked by Uma Thurman in the first stories.

The fourth instalment of the popular kung fu action films concerns a cycle of reprisals and daughters who avenge their mother's deaths, Hangzhou-based newspaper City Express quoted Bennett as saying.

While Tarantino has talked about continuing the films, there's been no official confirmation it will happen.

Old news. Already a separate thread.

For as long as I have been holding off buying this, and as much as I really enjoy both flicks, I might wait for an HD release.

Since the Weinsteins are doing HD-dvd and miramax is Blu-Ray i wonder if that could complicate things

Probably not going to be alot of DVD buying that day.

Seantn 07-27-07 01:25 PM

What the hell. I don't see the point in delaying a DVD for a film that came out over 3 years ago. I mean, I understand maybe switching dates for a movies initial release on DVD to make sure it doesn't have too much competition or something, but it doesn't really matter for this film. The people who want it are going to buy it. Sheesh.

You do know that more goes into producing and cutting a DVD than snapping your fingers and having it appear on store shelves, right?

Seantn 07-27-07 04:05 PM

No Mike, you're wrong. They snap their fingers and it's on the shelves. Now snap, damnit!

PopcornTreeCt 07-27-07 04:15 PM

Ah, now I've got something to spend that Christmas cash on.

Must have this set! That's beautiful packaging.

cranberries fan 07-27-07 09:24 PM

:jawdrop: Wow that looks a like book!------------I hope it comes with sword too. :jawdrop:

PopcornTreeCt 07-27-07 09:37 PM

Very nice. This set and Blade Runner make this one hell of a year for DVD. Even if we did have to wait, oh 8 years for a decent Blade Runner and 3 years for Kill Bill.

thedrizzle 07-27-07 09:58 PM

It's beautiful, I want it now.
