Rob Zombie Collection - 8/21/07

To coincide with the release of Halloween. Looks like the same exact releases of The Devils Rejects and House of 1000 Corpses. just packaged together.

It was a comic book. About 24 pages or so. I've got it, never read it. Although now I kinda want to...

This is pure speculation but based on the fact that these are Lionsgate titles I'm assuming that this will be another "both existing discs in a double case" release like their Aronofsky collection.

Didn't Rob say this was more myth than anything and there wasn't much more footage? Just a couple seconds from the making of "Fishboy" or something like that?

I really enjoyed both movies and would've double-dipped on this set if there were any differences - I guess I just can't believe they just re-packaged the discs.

Best Buy is selling both titles separately for $3.99 next week, supposedly. They're also on sale every other week for a similar price it seems. At a $25 MSRP on the set, I don't see anybody who has held off on the individual releases running out to snap this one up.

Here are some pictures, several months after the fact, but hey, better late than never.

The dumbest thing about this set is that the proof of purchase tab that is normally inside the packaging, next to one of the digipak trays (ala WB's Two-Disc Special Editions) is on the end of the cover, as you can see in the first picture.

I thought it would detach because it looked perforated but when I pulled on it a little it tore slightly so I stopped. I guess only the little brown tab in the middle, the actual proof of purchase, is perforated. I might take a knife to it. It bugs me primarily because it doesn't fold inside the cover and on that spine edge there is a title spine, just like on the other side, which the proof of purchase folds over and covers up.

Really? I thought Halloween was pretty good. It's no...well, Halloween, but it's far from the worst movie I've seen this year and certainly one of the best horror movies, let alone horror remakes I've had the pleasure (or displeasure) of viewing.
