ok, so here we are, close to just a month away, and The Burning and Scarecrows still aren't on the major retailer websites for preorder...are we really gonna see these?

Found The Burning for preorder at Amazon. No sign of Scarecrows though.

Here's a link to a website that has it. It's at the bottom of the Sept. 11 releases.

Ive mainly been looking forward to The Burning and I haven't seen anything mentioned but does anyone know if Scarecrows is uncut? I read the extras are not on the disc but I haven't heard if it is uncut or not. Does anyone know please?

This was taken from the xploitedcinema site link I posted:
"Please note that even though the back of the box states this is Rated R it is the uncut version"
So, take that as you might.

i just taped this and watched from IFC. wow! what a fun little slasher flix! the characters were so much fun. the guy from Fast Times, Jason Alexander, fun as hell.
so for the ones who have the DVd now, how is the overall presentation, a/v? how are the featurettes?

This is one of my favorite slasher films.
Since IFC used MGM's print. That's how the dvd will look and sound, which is excellent.
I haven't listened to the commentary yet. But the Tom Savini featurette was pretty cool. I also loved the trailer.

I saw that it was on IFC the other night as well. Kinda pissed me off actually for other reasons... I had The Burning in my Blockbuster online queue since release last year but it was always "coming soon." Stupid Blockbuster finally get it in last month so I rent it and how 'bout that, it's shown on cable a week later. Figures...
