The Burning - any dvd release plans?
Probably the best Friday the 13th rip-off (some say it is better) of the early 80's. Is this ever going to be officially released on DVD (at least domestically)?

One of the horror sites, I think it was Dread Central, had some speculation recently based on an interview with someone that said they were working on extras for a DVD release of an early '80s slasher that Tom Savini did the effects for that hasn't been released in R1 yet (wow, now that's a run-on). By that description, the site assumed it had to be The Burning. I hope they're right!

I have been waiting a long time for the Region 1 release, lets hope it is soon. This should of been out a fair bit ago but its worth the wait if the features and presentation are top notch.
I've said it before, But I feel really dissapointed in Horror DVD releases. Mainly 80s slasher movies, which there seems to be no releases to speak of lately. So many unreleased titles, it is a waste. You can't even seem to get in touch with the studios to ask them about releases either. I would of thought Anchor Bay could of snapped up a couple. It's easy for me to sit here and say what companies should do, but there seems to be a wealth of untouched slashers out there to be released on DVD.

I just transferred my VHS copy to disc but would like to see a DVD release with interviews from the actors that went on to be big stars. Jason Alexander, Holly Hunter, Fisher Stevens, etc... but I wonder if they would be willing to talk about it or if they just want to put it behind them and forget they were ever in it?
