I've just called to get my Vol.1 & Vol.2 replacement discs (along with Looney Tunes Vol.2). The rep told me that they weren't informed about replacement discs for Vol.3, but I ask her if I could make a complaint about it and she agreed. So, please call 1-800-553-6937 (Warner Home Video) and let them know about Vol.3.
The envelopes that they sent are the actual replacement discs. I thought they send the envelope, I'll send the disc, they send the replacement disc. This is much better than expected.
It takes 7-10 days to receive the envelopes with the discs.

). But there is an artificial zoom at about the 6:18 mark that crops out most of the little native that threatens Jerry("Baaaarbecued mouse."). Only his lips, tongue, and hand are visible (and with most monitors' overscan he's probably completely off-screen):
Here's how it originally looked:

This is made all the more asinine by the fact that the little native is still shown in full just a second later when he starts chasing Jerry and all the other equally "offensive" natives that threaten Tom are still shown.
ETA: As if this release didn't already plumb new depths of suck, one of the Cinemascope cartoons, "Pup On A Picnic," is cropped to 16:9!

I think that we should all email or call WHV customer service and ask/demand/insist/beg that they issue a replacement disc that will include the 2 missing cartoons. They more or less promised us the complete collection of Hanna Barbara era T&J shorts. Let the J6P's and the soccor moms have their edited sets and let us collectors have the complete collection.
Emailing and calling worked for the Disney Treasures so why couldn't it work for this? It's worth a try.

I just wish that now that the T&J volumes are finished, they can transfer operations over to the classics division so they can give them the same treatment as the Looney Tunes and Popeyes.
In fact, while they've wasted time with three 2-disc T&J sets, the ENTIRE MGM Cartoon library can be released to DVD on six chronological 4-disc sets without years broken up. Vol. 1: 1934-1938 (60 cartoons), Vol. 2: 1939-1942 (56 cartoons), Vol. 3: 1943-1947 (58 cartoons), Vol. 4: 1948-1951 (60 cartoons), Vol. 5: 1952-1955 (63 cartoons), and Vol. 6: 1956-1967 (75 cartoons). With this format, everything is included. Vol. 1 is entirely Happy Harmonies and the B&W cartoons (Count Screwloose and Captain & the Kids), Vol. 2 through 5 are a mix of one-shots, Tex Avery, Tom & Jerry, Droopy, Barney Bear, Spike and Tyke, etc. Vol. 6 has the last 3 years of H-B T&J and Michael Lah Droopy (all CinemaScope), plus all the Gene Deitch and Chuck Jones T&J, and Jones' two one-shot cartoons. Since Vol. 6 would be the lightest on extras, they could put 25 cartoons on 3 discs, with the 4th disc being Jones' MGM feature The Phantom Tollbooth. The Deitch/Jones shorts were made for 1.75:1, so they can be 16x9 enhanced like the CinemaScope cartoons.

Tom & Jerry Spotlight Collection: Volume 3
Just spoke with a WB representative on the phone concerning Tom & Jerry Spotlight Collection: Volume 3, mostly about the miss framing issue on “Pup on a Picnic” and edited content on “His Mouse Friday” and ask if they were going to address this issue and send a replacement disc that was properly done.
The statement that I got was that they were receiving lost of call, lots of calls, so it is getting logged, then after mentioning the two mistakes that were on the current disc. I ask if they knew anything about the possibility, of them also including the 2 missing toons, the operator, stated that she had not heard any thing about that; but were getting a lot of calls concerning that as well.
I would be willing to actually get this set if these problems were fixed, and it seems that public out cry is the way to do it along with this forum and the many others that are animated related.
Originally WB balked at the idea of replacing disc for the first set, but then gave in and did the correct thing and offered replacement disc. This of course came after numerous complaints, and the mistakes of having similar issues with the second set as well. It was because of them correcting issues that I held this company in high regards. As all of us that are having issues with the new set know, the fans of these films, that are angry about the omissions and edits do have the right to complain, and playing devils advocate, mom and pop Wal-Mart are not going to care, or send off for a replacement, so either way if they offer a replacement that fixes the two problems and includes both of the missing toons then I will support this. Until then I guess I will just have to watch Woody, and Popeye again till LTGC V5 gets here.
Here is the number 1-800-553-6937, call and make your voice heard.

I was going to order this during the ongoing holiday sales, until I read this thread. I have volumes 1 and 2, and had to do all of the replacement mail-ins to get the uncensored versions. And now this volume 3 fiasco. Has there been any new announcements from WB to get this un-PC'd?

Any updates on this? I just got vol 3 for my wife's birthday and wondered if I needed to call for a replacement.

ya, are there any updates to this yet?? I have all three volumes as well. I know there were replacements for the first two volumes, but didn't hear anything about the third one yet. Anyone hear anything yet?
