The Host --> 7/24/07
From DavisDVD.com
"Magnolia Home Entertainment will release the acclaimed Korean horror film The Host on July 24th. The DVD will be available in both a standard single disc set, as well as a two-disc special edition, each with an audio commentary with director Bong Joon-Ho. The two-disc set also includes deleted scenes, a making-of documentary, "Designing the Creature," "Training The Actors," "Memories of the Sewer," "The Film Departments," "Special Effects and Sound Effects," "Film Storyboards" and "Puppet Animatronix" featurettes, a gag reel, trailers and more. Retail is $26.98 for the standard DVD and $29.98 for the special edition. Also look for Blu-ray Disc and HD-DVD editions day-and-date."
I LOVED this movie. For those who didn't get to check it out, you should definitely pick this one up.

I'll be picking up the HD-DVD release
anyone else think the theatrical poster art looks better than the 2-disc art?

I loved "The Host" too, and have the Korean DVD. I'd like the English extras on the U.S. version, but I'm sticking with the excellent DTS track on the Korean. I'll probably just Netflix the extras disc.

Another fan of The Host. I'll get the 2-discer but the cover is odd because they took 2 totally different scenes and combined 'em.

2-disc art loses the claustrophic atomsphere of the original (to its detriment, IMO):

In the context of the movie, that photoshopped image is kinda silly.
I think the best promotional image for the film is this poster (similar to the US poster, but much more natural and dynamic):
