FYI, anyone who is buying this beauty on Ebay, make sure the seller is also including the 300 tote bag with the set. At the Comic Con the set came in a 300 tote bag. I will have my set in hand today before 3 PM EST. I will post pictures shortly after....

At the history Channel you can get the 2 disc dvd, the Last Stand of the 300 dvd, and Decisive Battles: Thermopylae DVD, for 35$. Pretty good deal if you like that stuff. The last dvd will probably just be a DVR though.

I'm such a massive geek - I cut off about a quarter-inch from the top and bottom of the art-book (it was all dead-space anyways) just so it would fit in the steel-book as an insert...

I have a question. My local BB isn't taking pre-orders for the 300 helmet edition dvd. They said first come first serve. Should I camp out, or do you think I will be able to get one when the store opens?

Well, if it's anything like the V for Vendetta mask, they had plenty of those, and they kept showing back up at Best Buy for months. So I wouldn't worry too much.

i would get there about 8pm Monday night, just to be sure. i know there is another thread somewhere with people who will be waiting for the 1 in 8 that Best Buy will have of these as it will most likely be highly collectible. better be safe than sorry on this one...kinda like the "The Monster Squad" fiasco.

alas, it is sold out there. it said "limited" so take that for what you will. i think they may get more in stock soon, but one never knows.

Were did you hear that BB will only be getting 8 of them? According to Speedy's ad, they're getting a minimum of 15 per store.

This may be one of the only times I get both. Usually, I buy HD-DVD's and sell the SD if it was previously released. This will be an exception for me, as I didn't think the V for Vendetta set w/mask was all that spectacular imho.
