Halloween franchise

There is an existing thread, yes, I know, about the DVDs of 4, 5, and 6, but I wanted to start a discussion of a somewhat different topic, so I started a new thread. If you guys really want it merged, then merge it, but I did it so this thread would be a separate discussion.

I recently just finished my collection of Halloween movies (well, I have one DVD for all of them -- I still want the Producer's Cut of 6 and the LE of 1). I was just wondering if you guys think that any of the long-awaited stuff (ala an official Producer's Cut of 6, the H20 SE, the HII SE with deleted scenes and commentary) could come out next year with Rob Zombie's remake on DVD? That'd be the 30th Anniversary...

And does anyone know what was announced for H2 and H20 originally? I just read the DVDtalk reviews and both mentioned special editions that never materialized. Just curious -- I always thought H20 was a pretty crappy Collector's Series DVD.

I would love to get an anamorphic disc of H20. What a sad excuse for an SE that thing was.

This would certainly be the year to release some new Halloween content. H20 is in dire need of an anamorphic transfer.

The R2 H2O disc is anamorphic as is Halloween 6. I wouldn't hold my breath waiting on Miramax to fix the R1 releases.

I don't know if it's true but Halloween 6 seems to have gone OOP. Maybe a Producer's Cut disc on the horizon...

This past Halloween I watched all the Halloween movies and from now on I only recognize The Original, Part II and H20 as Halloween movies. I have the AB 2-Disc set but I'm hoping for a a new cut of Part II and an anamorphic transfer for H20. I'd also buy Part 6 if the producer's cut was made into an official release.

I don't think it's gone out of print, I just bought one not too long ago.

The actual producers at the Halloween convention actually said they didn't understand why Miramax hasn't released the prodcuer's cut, it's a better movie and people want it, it's a sure fire sale right there!

I'm interested in the full SE treatment for HII. HIII has always fascinated the hell out of me frankly. I've always considered it basically a John Carpenter film even though like HII he didn't actually direct it though you can see his touch all over it. I would freaking love an SE of HIII.
