I've been on a few websites and there is nowhere you can preorder the new special Edition of 28 days Later and its suppossed to come out within the next couple of weeks. Does anyone know whats going on this release?

Where did you get the info on this release? I haven't heard of it. You sure it's due 5/1/07?

Gee, I never knew! That's a strange thing it's nowhere in online shops. DVDempire's releases usually are set three months ahead, but there's still nothing there or anywhere else for that matter. It'd be nice if someone could clarify the situation here.

It was supposed to include a free ticket for 28 Weeks Later so it'll nice for this to be released soon.

I noticed that it wasn't anywhere online as well. Kind of odd... I hope it's still coming out.

I had this on my list to pick up because of the Movie Cash and the fact that I'm a whore for things that say "limited edition".

But... yeah, I'm thinking this might not become a reality. There's an odd lack of announcement/preorder for a title that is supposedly coming out in 10 days.

That's exactly what I'm thinking - it can't be released without being announced and in total silence.
And since I'm also a limited-premium-ultimate-box-whore, I want one although I have the old edition.

The trailer to the sequel looks pretty good.

Yeah I agree. I saw the trailer before Hot Fuzz yesterday and I was pretty impressed. I don't own the original but I'd buy it if they came out with a new dip...especially if there is movie cash.

It wasnt in the ads for the first week of May so it doesnt seem like its coming out. And i was excited to get it since I held off on the original release.

Maybe they will hold off until the new one hits dvd... either way it would be nice to know sooner than later.

Of course this would defeat the inclusion of movie cash, but maybe retailers would be them in a cheap package.

I enjoyed this very much and would gladly give it another spin via rental. I'll also plan to check out 28 Weeks Later at the theatre. But, yes, this fail off the radar.

Here's hoping that they still release it. I'm looking to upgrade my foolscreen copy that I bought back when I was a fool.
