My first was Red Dawn in January 2001. I still got it. I'd love to see an HD-DVD release of this, now that I just ordered a new player.

Purchased 07/04/01 @ Wal-Mart two days before buying my dvd player.

Yes, and I will always keep this one for sentimental reasons.
I'm also still using that same dvd player (Sony DVP-NS400D).

Apocalypse Now Redux was my first DVD that came with an option of free DVD when I bought my home theatre system. Later I purchased Saving Private Ryan SE. I think this was in late 2004.

Eyes Wide Shut

I still have it despite the fact that it became redundant after I got the second Kubrick Collection a year or two later.

First 2 were Spinal Tap: Criterion, and the old non-anamorphic version of Conan the Barbarian. No, and No.

Sleepy Hollow - Bought around June - July 2000 when I bought my first player. Still have it.

A few weeks ago I bought my first HD-DVD, Serenity. I don't have a player yet, but it's on the shelf waiting.

The first DVDs I ever bought were from Columbia House and all I remember is that the Matrix was a part of the order. At the time I didn't even own a DVD player. I had about 2OO VHS cassettes I was trying to unload first. Anyway I don't currently own that particualr DVD because in 2001 I sold my 200+ collection for $2K. Can't get that now! But since then I've brought my collection up to about 900+. YIPPEE!

Unbreakable and Session 9. Bought them months before ever getting a DVD player, and still have them.

Apocalypse Now in about May 2000. I was a bit slow in buying a DVD Player - I waited until the price dropped below $250. Yes, I still have it. I also have the other 2 versions of Apocalypse Now.
