Eb/Gamestop DVD Trade in Value?

Don't know if this is the right spot for this but does anybody know the average trade in value for DVD's. I have Dazed and Confused and Fast Times At Ridgemont High to trade in. Both are the original editions with great-conditioned discs. I'm only trading them in because I was given them on HD-DVD and there is no need for them on both formats.

I don't think EB takes DVD trades anymore, but even when they did the values were terrible. 50 cents to a dollar was usually what they offered.

They still take DVD trades, but only for store credit.

See the thing is I want to use the money toward HD DVD's. I don't think BB has any HD and the gamestop near me has a few. So any idea how much i could get at EB/Gamestop?

Why don't you just call the store and ask them? Or just take them in and find out?

A lot of places won't give trade quotes over the phone; either they want you in there so you might buy something (or give them your stuff for ha'pennies on the dollar), or they don't want to quote a price and have you bring in some raggedy torn up item and demand the full quote for it.
Looks like DVDPlanet will give you at least 4.48 to 5.98 trade credit for each.

I think you're going to be let down if you try to get cash from a place that sells used DVDs. If you only have a couple, try taking them to work/school first -- I've had pretty good luck going that route if I'm only asking $5 - $7 -- good deal for them, good deal for me.

Like I posted on the store forum, many Gamestop and EB Games already stopped taking DVDs, HDDVDs and Blu Ray disc for trade-in, since they are discontinuing these items all together from the stores. The ones that still accept trade-in, will not give any oney at all, only store credit.
