Bunch of Fox Special Editions coming early June 2007
According to dvdempire.com, Fox will release new Special Editions of the following films.
Fantastic Voyage: Special Edition (6-5-2007)
The Hustler: Collector's Edition (6-12-2007)
The Sand Pebbles: Special Edition (6-5-2007)
Twelve O'Clock High: Special Edition (6-5-2007)
The Verdict: Collector's Edition (6-12-2007)
Von Ryan's Express: Special Edition (6-5-2007)
Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea: Global Warming Edition (6-5-2007)
Really excited about Fantastic Voyage, Sand Pebbles, 12 O'Clock High and Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea.
I've seen that Fantastic Voyage/ Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea "Double Feature" DVD go for quite a bit on ebay recently. Already own that one, but will surely double dip on those two.

Yay, I was just bitchin' in the other thread about pointless re-releases. At least this announcement has something worth hearing.
Only thing really stupid about these is this god-awful subtitle:
Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea: Global Warming Edition (6-5-2007) :WTF: stop already! Dumbest title ever, period.

The Hustler was available as a 2-discer in the UK recently and I had my suspicions that new set would find its way over here. I wanted the movie too, so good thing I didn't find it before this was indeed announced.

Man this June 5th will be an expensive day for me:
Sand Pebbles, Von Ryan's Express, Fantastic Voyage, Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea, The Neptune Factor & The Sergio Leone Anthology Boxset.
Great stuff, I love this Cinema Classics Line.

I assume the artwork on Von Ryan and the Sand Pebbles was done by the same artist who handled the two Fox spy classics last year. It's absolutely gorgeous stuff and certainly does a good job really "selling" the DVD (although I wound up kind of disappointed in the actual films of the Chairman and Quiller Memorandum).
