Ever since they announced a Summer School SE, I've been on permenent holdout, on Back to the Beach. I figure if they put out a SE of SC, which I didn't think would ever happen, then there's a good chance they'd do a SE of BTTB.

I'm hoping for Better Off Dead myself...

I'll have to see who is doing the commentary tracks (and if there are commentary tracks) before I'd consider them.

Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall should do commentary in character with all the characters they played in the film. Arsenio should have enough time, since he hasn't done anything since the early 90's.

Landis has a long-standing dislike of commentaries...I wouldn't count on there being any. However, if you've seen Paramount's Airplane! DVD or the recent John Hughes movies they've put out, their video features are excellent these days...

Awesome news. Paramount is really getting the lead out with all these new SCE's. Here's hoping we'll see new editions of Better Off Dead and Planes, Trains & Automobiles next!

I agree with Joliom. I would luv to see SEs of BETTER OFF DEAD and PLANES, TRAINS. I hope Paramount also puts out a 10th Anniversary Edition of FACE/OFF.

Excellent! This is one of my favorite comedies. I'll be picking up the Blu-Ray of Coming To America. I thought we would be stuck with the non-anamorphic DVD forever.

Paramount Home Entertainment will release Trading Places: Special Collector's Edition on June 5th. The hit comedy, starring Dan Aykroyd and Eddie Murphy, arrives with an anamorphic widescreen transfer and Dolby Digital 5.1 & 2.0 tracks. Bonus materials will include a deleted scene, a subtitled trivia track, the featurettes "Insider Trading: The Making of Trading Places," "Trading Stories," "Dressing the Part" and "The Trade in Trading Places," and trailers.

Also due on June 5th is Coming To America: Special Collector's Edition. This disc includes an anamorphic widescreen transfer and Dolby Digital 5.1 & 2.0 tracks. Bonus materials will include the featurettes "Prince-ipal Photography: The Coming Together of America," "Fir For Akeem: The Costumes of Coming To America," "Character Building: The Many Faces of Rick Baker," a vintage sit-down interview with Eddie and Arsenio, and trailers. Retail is $14.99 apiece. Also look for HD-DVD and Blu-ray editions of each.

Blah, no commentaries. "The Trade" could be interesting as well as the Coming to America interview.

Considering how much they botched the Major League SE...I had low hopes for Trading Places. Thankfully, they did it right for once. I will be picking up the HD on release date.

I heard the "Just a man I met in the restroom" Edition will have more special features. But the "Fuck you, Fuck you, and Fuck you..who's next" edition will be released later as a triple dip.

I know this is kinda picky, but why are there a bunch of $50 bills from 2001-present on the cover of Trading Places? Not good to have an anachronism as a focal point.

I'll be the white man who brings up the "Rocky Marciano Edition."

Good Lord that's some awful cover art. I just hope they don't use the same covers for the HD-DVD/Blu-ray versions.

And isn't it spelled "Soul Glo" in the movie? At least get the spelling right for these dumb SE titles.

Haha, you're right. That makes this cover even worse than I thought it was at first, which is pretty damn bad.

Joe Louis had come out of retirement to fight Rocky Marciano! The man was 76 years old!
