Sony and MGM are being very greedy releasing a crappy edition of a BOND film after the film did so well for them.
No commentary...No thanks then......
Seeing as this was one of my favorite films of last yeay I'll prob. wait til movie gallery runs a Buy 2 Get 2 sale to pick this up...That is assuming that they do get the 2-disk set with the promotional featurettes on the 2nd disk...

I will never use it, but that poker set looks nice. I would normally spring for the bonus disc, but maybe I'll wait a day and hear from everyone here if it's worth it or not.

This is my favorite movie of last year and the only one I planned on buying during release week and all the exclusives suck! I'm hoping Target will have a slipcover.

I think the poker cards and chip are a cool display item, if you are into that sort of thing.

I don't know, but one of the two trailers for this movie knocked me out (I believe it was the longer one). I'm usually not impressed with modern trailers, but that was a good one. If it's not on the official release or Target bonus disc, has anyone seen the trailer as a promo on any other recent Sony release?

Haven't spotted the second trailer on any Sony discs (though honestly, I haven't tried very hard). The first one was on "The Da Vinci Code" though

Im assuming the Wal-mart package won't actually look as nice as the pic in this thread, it will probably be the flimsy cardboard they use for their other promo's correct? Is there any reason to suspect otherwise?

I think I'll go with the Best buy set.

I don't know what I'd do with the cards and single poker chip from wal mart
At least I could keep the Aston Martin on my desk at work

Looks like I'm heading to Target... especially if it's like their other exclusive 3-disc sets. I already have cards, don't need chips.

I think that's the coolest exclusive out. Wish it was available in the US. I don't play cards really, and I don't need a matchbox, so I'll just get it at CC.

off-topic.

Fincher Fan, can you explain your signature a little bit more? does that mean Fincher hates those movies?

I'm pretty sure it's referencing the fact that at the time of SE7EN's release Pitt was know primarily for Legends of the Fall and Freeman for Driving Miss Daisy...thus, to the average movie-goer, "oooh, I like these other movies!! They were sweet/touching!! I bet this Seven-movie will be sweet/touching also!"

Hmm, the Aston Martin toy car is sweet, and I really dig the cards/poker chip from Wal-Mart (although I wouldn't want to pay extra just to get those), the only deciding factor now is what the heck is Target slipcase/bonus disc is like.

Yeah that certainly pisses me off. Reward people for buying the cheap dvd while overcharging me and giving me jackshit for buying blu-ray, the medium you really want people to buy.

No, it means Brad Pitt had just been in Legends of the Fall and Morgan Freeman had just been in Driving Miss Daisy, so when they advertised it to the test audience they said starring Legend of the Fall's Brad Pitt and Driving Miss Daisy's Morgan Freeman, which would lead people to the belief that it is like those movies.
