Thanks for the last few updates everyone!
I just organized my collection, and have a bunch of double dips to go thru.
I imagine I'll have a bunch of updates for the first post then.

Quick apology to lanemyer74: I included your updates back in November, but I just noticed that they weren't there in the first post. I wasn't ignoring you, I know I did them but the forum glitched when I clicked "save changes" or something.
Added them again, so the first post is updated with (I think) everything mentioned so far.

Maybe I'm unique in that thinking, but it seems logical to me......

Re: Definitive List of Double Dips with Features not carried over
The original "40 Year Old Virgin" unrated DVD included one deleted scene (alternate drunk driving scene) not included on the "Double Your Pleasure" edition.

The 15th anniversary edition keeps almost all of that stuff from the previous edition...the only things that weren't kept were:
Cinematographic Moments
Cast and Crew Information
Production Notes
All of those three things were merely text extras, not a huge loss in my book...
All the other stuff WAS kept from the previous edition, as well as adding a new additional documentary, another featurette, and most importantly, an anamorphic widescreen presentation of the film...

Re: Definitive List of Double Dips with Features not carried over
The so-called "50th Anniversary" edition of The Muppet Movie leaves off all the extras of the original edition. I don't have access to mine at the moment, but I have both versions and I don't think any of the bonus features made the transition. The same may also be true of The Great Muppet Caper, A Muppet Christmas Carol and Muppet Treasure Island, but I don't have those at hand to do a comparison. Anybody know for sure?
Just found this other thread, Trevor. Once again, our compulsions cross paths...

Re: Definitive List of Double Dips with Features not carried over
Just did a quick check at DVDcompare.net (which only I just learned about, thanks to this thread) and it looks like all 4 of these Muppet titles have noticeable differences from one release to another. The first film had the most stuff left off, but the other 3 had a few missing features each. I'm too busy to copy/paste/verify at the moment, but there it is.

Thanks Ajay! I'll make some updates.
Hasslein, I don't think I have seen verification on that. I might own both, will try to check someday soon.

Re: Definitive List of Double Dips with Features not carried over
I've been reorganizing my entire collection; culling titles for possible sales/donations. Used this thread a couple of times, and made a huge pile of double dips to compare discs for possible additions.
I'll probably keep updating this thread, although perhaps it's not really needed.
