Kitchen Confidential -- 05/22/07

As per tvshowsondvd.com, FOX is releasing all 13 episodes (only 4 episodes aired) on DVD on 05/22/07.

I thought this was an excellent show and matched nicely with Arrested Development. However, what ended up happening was that both shows got cancelled because of anemic ratings. The last episode that aired "French Fight" was great and both Michael Vartan and Bradley Cooper excelled in that episode.

Great news! I didn't even realize they had shot 13 episodes. This is one of those shows that kept getting better each week so I'm looking forward to seeing where they went with it.

I REALLY liked this show. It was just getting legs when they pulled it.

This was my current "Action!" that also failed for some reason.

Saw all 13 episodes and it really does get better as it goes along. Shame it got canned.

this is the best dvd news for me in quite some time. I really wasn't expecting this since it has been so long. I was really hoping this would come out because I was apparently one of the few that really liked this show....

I REALLY hope this turns out to be a widescreen release, otherwise its a no-go for me.

I still haven't bought How I Met Your Mother because of the chopped up full frame release, still keeping my fingers crossed for a proper widescreen non-r1 release of that.

Awesome news! I was ticked when this got canceled...but wasn't totally surprised (it was a quality show on Fox, after all). Heaven forbid a new show is given a realistic chance to find an audience.

Really surprised this is coming to dvd, really wasn't expecting it to. Being a Vartan fan, looking forward to seeing French Fight again.

I'm getting this for sure... I loved Kitchen Confidential (well, as long as it was on the air)...another show on the long list of Fox casualties axed before their time.

Yes, this TV series was loosely based on the book.

Davis DVD lists the set as having 11 episodes, as opposed to 13 mentioned in the OP. Did Fox drop two episodes or is one of the postings an error?

As far as I know it should be 13 episodes and I haven't seen any reports that the DVD set will only include 11 episodes. I'm leaning towards that Davis DVD posting is an error.

TVshowsondvd.com is reporting that the episodes will be in fullscreen even though it was aired in widescreen as per Fox press release. They have contacted Fox for confirmation.
