Although it's not named "Leela! Get Back In Your Cell, Don't Make Me Get the Hose!" Edition, like I had hoped, I'm still picking this up.

It'll be a good DVD for sure. Finally anamorphic and with new extras along with all the original extras.

Ugh, I hate to say this, but it looks like this has been cancelled. It's gone from Amazon, Best Buy, DVD Empire, Deep Discount....

3 weeks before the release date? I swear I'd expect this from Sony not from Fox!!

Actually FOX has been famous for doing this. The Big re-release was announced, then later canceled. Now is supposed to be released in the summer, but I'll believe it when I see it.

Wow, that's weak if it's been cancelled. I was really looking forward to finally getting an anamorphic transfer at least.

I've been really looking forward to this release and already got rid of my non anamorphic edition. Maybe they are just pushing it back because May 8th is already a pretty crowded FOX release day (both Big and That Thing You Do Director's Cuts are coming out that day, too).

That's too bad. I was looking forward to it. Video Universe even claims it would have a clip from "Arrested Development" as an easter egg.

I just picked it up today...not sure if it's been said yet but the director's commentary has been removed from this version.

btw, this should have been called the "Can you make me a woman?" edition.

UGH...why is Fox dropping commentaries left and right?

Yep, this was reported a couple months ago. Had the commentary been retained, I may have been tempted. Had the purported commentary by Robin Williams also been included, I may have been more tempted. As it is-- and this not even being a particularly favored film-- I'll pass.

FYE and Suncoast seem to be the only ones who received this set. I just ordered it from fye.com...they say it's in stock.

I'm sad to hear that this lacks the commentaries. Still, I placed my order at FYE.com. Using Google Checkout, I saved $10.00 on my order. My total came to $10.92. I can't wait to get this. It is one of my all time favorite films, and I've been waiting for a decent release of it. I suppose the set may be delayed because of the lack of commentaries. If so, I'll just exchange for the correct set, provided they release one.

Hell, any of those (that isn't Behind the Seams) would be great.

I suggest the "I Don't Vork Vith Ze Males 'Cause I Used to Be Vone" Edition.

So what's the word on this? Is it officially canceled forever? Deep Discount DVD lists it as discontinued, which doesn't seem to bode well for this. FYE stores seem like the only stores to have gotten it which is strange to say the least. Anyone know any more?
