Awful cover, but a must-buy for me regardless.

A must buy, but that cover art is almost as shitty as the team was at the start of the season.

That's it...I'm quitting my job, and taking my 6 months of casual photoshopping skills to Paramount to attempt to get the highest position possible in their dvd art department...

No deleted scenes? A shame, but a nice package overall.

I'm waiting for the hopefully eventual HD or BD release. Just saw this in January on HDnet and it didn't look too much better than the 2002 DVD.

i got this today. pretty cool packaging with the faux grass, but why did they have to stick a non-removable logo and pic of the guys over the front?? would have been much cooler just having the grass.

I'd hazard a guess that they have the name and logo on the cover so people know what they're looking at in the store. A strange concept I know.

that's really not what i meant, i wondered why it wasn't removable, like a lot of those cardboard over-covers (see The Girl Next Door, Greatest Am. Hero Set, Ultimate Superman Set)

Well, because that would be a slipcover OVER another slipcover.

After watching the making of Featurette, man Tom Berenger looks really old.

This is one of those movies that have been on my "to rent list" for about 15 years now. Maybe, I'll get to it by the end of the year.

I wish they put the deleted scenes on the dvd instead of the alternate ending. The alternate ending totally ruins the character who played the Indians owner.

Spoiler:
In the alternate ending the manager Lou Brown goes to Ms. Phelps to turn in his resignation after finding out she wants to move the team to Miami. But it turns out she made up the whole story just to motivate the team.

This was very lame, when you were always hating the owner in the movie.

Yeah, that's horrible.

Glad they didn't use that ending. Wouldn't have made sense for Major League 2, which is just as good, IMO.
