I can't even remember one mention of Sony on the screen. I'm especially proud that I did not let that get in the way of enjoying this incredible movie. The best Bond ever? That goes without saying. It's probably one of the best action movies we've had in a long time.

The last thing I remember was Target had an exclusive bonus disc with DaVinci Code. I'm sure we'll get several things for CR.

Great, great movie and I'll happily add it to the rest of the Bond films in my collection. The gf is probably looking forward to the DVD release even more than I am.

According to French fan site JamesBond-Fr.com, Lamont says that producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli have held several meetings with writers Neal Purvis and Robert Wade—most likely to brainstorm ideas for the Bond 22 script , and most importantly it will be a direct continuation of the events started in "Casino Royale".

Meanwhile speaking to USA Today to promote the DVD and Blu-ray release of "Casino Royale", that film's director Martin Campbell was asked about helming the next one.

He previously had stated that he has no interest, but it looks like he may have changed his mind - albeit only a little: "After 'GoldenEye', I was asked to do subsequent Bonds, but I declined because it felt as if I'd be repeating myself. But this one is based on a Bond that's more interesting. To be honest, I would just say I'd never say never."

He also confirmed that a second DVD of Casino Royale (likely to match the 'Ultimate Edition' releases) will eventually appear with deleted scenes and commentary.

Thanks for the update, ruk. Looks like I'll be returning my copy to Circuit City.

image quality comparison: Casino Royale DVD vs. Blu-ray

Judi Dench in HD = NO SALE!

Every time I look at these comparisons, I feel like I'm putting on glasses that I don't need, then taking them off when I look back at the regular DVD's image. Everything looks blurry, and it hurts my eyes.

LivingINClip 04-18-07 01:04 AM

I don't trust those comparisons, maybe it's just me but it looks like everything was ran through a blur filter. Still, I have no doubt there is a no jump in quality, I just can't justify the pricetag of a Blu-Ray player. Will stick with my HDd VD , until Sony drops the PS3 prices or Blu Ray prices inn general.

Oh and back on topic, best Bond ever. Infact, one of the best action films in a long time.
