Meerkat Manor on DVD ever?

Any word on the Animal Planet show "Meerkat Manor"? I actually took a survey earlier this year asking if I would purchase this title if it was available on DVD. I said yes, because I like the show a lot.

Has there been any word on it yet?

Well, what do you know. I assumed this wasn't even announced on DVD, but I just saw on Amazon.com that Season 1 was released on DVD on December 1st. I didn't find any info on this board from a search, so I guess consider this a post-release announcement.

I picked up mine from the discovery store a while ago. If you ordered it before the 12th of Dec, you could have gotten 30% off.

That's a good enough reason if there was one.

I know this is a very late question, but does anyone know what the differences in the DVD versions are? I see a 4-disc and a 2-disc. Is the two DVD set missing episodes?

Thanks for your help.

Ok. that does help. I had also heard that the US version was edited while the British version was not. I don't know if both the two and four discs are both US versions or one of each. Do you know? Thanks for your help, your first answer does help me out.

I think it's just that the four-disc was released by Discovery/Animal Planet whereas the two-disc was a official retail release.
