I had someone that works at Best Buy hold me a copy of this movie and I'm glad I did. By the time I got there at 4:30 there were no other copies of the movie to be found. I'm glad I grabbed one of these as the bonus disc looks like it is actually worth it this time and not just a tease. I also received a copy of the preview of 300 that included a ticket for a free admission. High five!

Whose great idea was it to stick on the UPC to the slipcover and DVD inside? That sucked!

It took me abotu 10 minutes to get it completely off the set without tearing the cover.

Okay, I ordered it online for pickup in case they ran out before I could get there today. Got a 300 DVD too, but the Tenacious D disc they tried to give me was NOT the one with the bonus disc on it! I told the girl I saw the ones with bonus discs still on the rack and went and got one of those to pick up instead. Sheesh, I may as well have not bothered with the online ordering (except for the 1% ebate cash I earn as opposed to buying directly in the store.)

I don't know how people can perceive this to be 'free', since it's $9.99 to buy the 300 preview disc.

The $9.99 is waived when you purchase any dvd.

Well, this weeks store circular says "Any DVD". Some members have posted that there is a store display which cites certain dvds like V for Vendetta. It seems to me like it rings up for $0.00 as long as there is another dvd on the receipt (and maybe even if not). If they give you trouble, you could always pull out the store ad, which says it pretty clearly.

At my Best Buy they told me I had to spend $10 to get the 300 DVD for free (even though I bought two DVDs -- for a total of $9.99). I didn't fight it, but should have.

If anyone is interested in that Limited Edition Tenacious D soundtrack package with the CD, tarot cards, poster and plastic pick of destiny, Amazon seems to have it for 53% off and relatively cheap, or at least not much more than the basic CD by itself:

Pick Of Destiny LE Soundtrack $13.99

Already have the soundtrack, but that is tempting.
