I already have a really long wishlist for next year and as usual, Criterion and Warner will be getting the majority of my money. These are the releases that I'm the most excited for and that I'll almost undoubtedly be purchasing on or near the release date.

Yojimbo, Sanjuro
Bicycle Thieves
When a Woman Ascends the Stairs
The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner
Fred and Ginger
Marie-Antoinette
The Fountain
Blade Runner - 25th Anniversary
Twin Peaks - Season 2

Though they have not been officially announced nor do they have a release date, Warner said in their HTF chat last year that these silents would all be released in late 2006 and 2007. Since they didn't release any silent films this year, I'm expecting all of these this year.

The Big Parade, Show People, The Crowd, Greed, The Wind

Blade Runner and Twin Peak Season 2 most definitely.

It would be icing on the cake if an updated Dark City was released (with no snap case!).

Chasing Amy X.

Multidisc set which'll be perfect for the fans, much like Kevin Smith's earlier Clerks X DVD. I'll be in the Question & Answer section that was filmed for it, if I made the cut.

I suppose I'll be most excited about the proposed STAR WARS 30th Anniversary set in terms of making a purchase, but the most eagerly-anticipated will probably be Evan Almighty assuming it hits DVD in 2007, which it probably will. Been anticipating that since filming back in March -- can't wait to freeze-frame it to see if I can spot myself, since I was an extra in a couple scenes... okay, along with about 300 other people, but it'd be cool nonetheless.

I'd say the Jodorowsky films are definitely #1. HD DVDs would be #2.
