Wow. This is getting released before Marie? That's a surprise.

"Hope! What are you doing in my masturbatorium?!"

I had wanted to see this based on the trailers, but after the reviews I decided to stay away theatrically. However, I'll definitely check this out on DVD. THanks for the news.

I warn anyone who hasnt seen it theatrically to rent first. I had high hopes on this one based on the funny theatrical trailer but this is one of the most depressingly unfunny movies in the history. It should've been called Running With Cigarettes because every character is a non-stop chain smoker.

Its chuck-full of nonsensical scenes that go absolutely no where:
Spoiler:

The Psychiatrist played by Brian Cox observes his shit floating in the toilet bowl and then has somekind of revelation about something.

Gweneth Paltrow's character starves a cat to death for no apparent reason.

Annette Bening's character places all her dinner plates and silverware in her back yard, again for no apparent reason.

There is not a single redeeming moment or character. Alec Baldwin is wasted in a minor role as the father who is constantly berated by Annette Bening, who plays a stone cold BITCH.

Kickass. It sounds like the movie was really faithful to the book. I'll definitely be blind-buying this based in part on your enthusiastic recommendation. Thanks for the heads up!
