13th Warrior SE treatment?
I was sure this would have received some special edition treatment by now, but no....I don't think I'm the only person who wants to see more from the production of this movie....

I think most people are waiting for the seemingly non-existant original John McTiernan version to be released. I avoided this at the theater (b/c of Banderas), but I regret it. It's a throroughly enjoyable film and despite the poor box office, most people I know that have seen it like it. Aside from the alternate version, I'm not sure what they could do for an SE. I doubt Crichton would do a commentary, so if there was one it would have to be with some stars of the film. A doc on the troubled production would be interesting, but without the complete alternate version (or at least a direct comparison of the scenes that were changed/cut) wouldn't be of much interest. What else could be included... maybe a comparison of the two scores?

most "trouble" films don't get anything. People who are still working in the industry don't want to name names in interviews, commentaries, etc. plus the studio brass doesn't like to document the trouble in any way.

I loved this movie and the book so eventhough -I HATE- double dipping I would probably get this one.

I loved this movie and have always wanted to see the alternate cut and hear the Graeme Revell score. A version that included a remaster of the theatrical cut and a second disc featuring a well mastered presentation of the alternate cut would be special enough for me. Sure, I'd love some docs and audio commentaries but I'd be more than happy with the alternate cut being the only special feature. It could be something similar to the Legend two disc set.

I love this movie also. It's one of my favorites and i'd like to see an SE,2 Disc edition released. They could do a feature on Vikings on the 2nd disc that would be great.

I really love this movie. One of my favorite action films.
I also think they should re-release this as a two-disc set to include McTiernan's "Eaters of the Dead" cut. If "Superman II" got a recut, then they're surely hope for this little gem.
