"Grizzly" owners...video problem

For those of you who own or have seen the 2-discer of Grizzly...whats with the pulsating, flashing lighting that is so obvious throughout the film? Is this a "source" problem? I have had the dvd for a month but just cracked it open last night and was surprised how much joy was taken out of watching because of this. Everyone else sees it too....am I right? I have read what a good looking transfer the film was given for the new dvd but I can't believe nobody else has mentioned it. Sorry, I don't know enough about the film/mastering process to peg what the problem is but if anyone agrees and can share the "light" with me on what it is and why....thanks.

I went on a mad dash last night and popped in severel dvds, old and new just to be sure I was not seeing things or had a monitor problem. Fine tuned my settings too...made little difference.

I never noticed a problem when I picked it up when it came out.

You'd have to try playing it on another DVD player (or your computer). If it does it again then your DVD must be bad since no one else has mentioned it. I would think you could still exchange it.

If it doesn't do it and no other DVDs do the same thing, there must be some sort of incompatibility between it and your system.

Are you saying that you can't bear to watch it that way?

Try it on a DVD-ROM drive, but let the computer go into hibernation mode first.

Man, I bearly made it through it myself. When I got my paws on the dvd after having to deal with the barbearians at the store, I had no choice but to grin and bear the thought that the simple bear necessities of a dvd playing regularly were apparently unbearable to the production company. Simply barbearic.

My advice would be to bear down and remember, we all have our crosses to bear.

Bear.

Wow, thats a lot of bearshit to wade through...glad it can be funny for y'all. I've tried it on various players, which I knew was not the problem, and now I'm convinced that Media Blasters fucked up yet another release....and/or my eye is much keener than most. I've already sent it back and want no replacement copy.

I thought that maybe it was a problem that surfaced on an HDTV...but my standard TV and PC have it looking just as shitty.

I thought I'd bump this thread of of hibernation to see if anyone has bought the 3 movie pack, Evil Animals, which has Grizzly, Day of the Animals, and Devil Dog.

I really only wanted the two disc version of Grizzly, but this pack was only 14.99 and says it has 5 discs. I imagine that it is the 2 disc version of Grizzly, but the box doesn't say, and the google machine doesn't easily find verification either. There was an old 1 disc version, and I don't want to open this pack until I confirm.

I just opened it and all three titles are individual sealed. So I think I'll just keep Grizzly and ebay or regift the other two. Thanks again for the confirmation.
