As there is a post about your HC/DVD collection why not sharing your nicest DVD set ? I'm from France and packaging for some products are very different from the US (sometimes better, sometimes worst hehe)
OK I'll start with

Sex & the City

Seasons 1 to 3

Inside of Season 1

Outside/Inside of Season 2

Inside of Season 3

Seasons 4 to 6

Outside/Inside of Season 4

Outside/Inside of Season 5

Inside of Season 6

Beautiful, isn't?
your turn now hehe

OK, this maybe strectching it, but you said nicest looking set, you didn't say official. Below is a custom Twilight Zone set with a spanning-spine. Design by Ric Easton.

My favorite would still be the first LoTR Extended Set, with the Kings of Argonath bookends

here one of the nicest dvd box in my opinion, the Buffy the vampire set:

BUFFY the Vampire Slayer ( French title=Buffy contre les Vampires=Buffy VS Vampires)

The outside and the discovery of the Book or should I say Grimoire? hehe

First half DVDset=bunch of pictures+ list of episode with a short sum up

Second half, the DVD part with Chapter selections and the "system" how the DVD are stored

I agree about that Buffy Set. Nicely Done.

Here are a couple of more custom sets I have. Again a big thanks to Ric Easton who designed these. Available to download from his website by the way at no charge. Ric did both of these Trek Sets. I will only take credit or blame for re-doing the spine on the Original Series set because Rics Spine wasn't coming out well on my lousy ink-jet printer.

Hey LNT, this thread title is definately misleading, or you're not following by the rules. You can't have multiple "nicest" sets, as that, by definition is singular. I don't mind seeing the nice sets, just ribbin' ya.

Here's a few oddities that most have never seen.

The CSI Emmy Box. (This has the episodes #508 Ch-ch-Changes and #523 Grave Danger which is a 2 parter.) These were the Tarantino episodes and Frank Gorshin's last performance. The pic has the disc off the hub which is located on the left side under the tape. This was sent out to emmy voters, and I just thought it was a cool package.

The Namco 50th anniversary Digital Press Kit This was given out at trade shows and industry functions. It has a dvd full of game trailers and a cd-rom filled with artwork for upcoming games and old classics for use on websites and other digital outlets. It also contains a ton of insert style artwork for upcoming games with fact sheets and release info on the back of each. its one of the best digipack gatefolds i have ever seen with multiples folds.

I'm usually not a fan of elaborate/unusual packaging, but here are a couple that I enjoy having on my shelf:

Region 2 Phantasm set:

Region 1 Freaks and Geeks yearbook:

Region 1 Battlestar Galactica Cylon head:

I also think the R1 Buffy Chosen Collection is very well presented -- compact and classy.

Well, here's a couple of shots of my favorite set from Japan, the Innocence (Ghost in the Shell II) Collector's Set. It's a fairly expansive set and my pix definately don't do it any justice ...

Outter Packaging with 4 DVDs (Film/Making of/Documentary, etc..) Art Book and Layouts (additional art) from the film.

I believe its a rights issue, the same reason we haven't gotten a good Hellraiser set, like the one Anchor Bay UK put out.

There was someone in the forum a while back who had pics of his extremely nice Oldboy box. I wouldn't mind seeing that again.
