Hopefully they don't expect us to have a reciept from the last purchase.

They should have announced this rebate with the original press release. I have already sold my previous 2-disc edition in anticipation of the extended edition.

No, but I'm sure they'll require us to tear a piece off the packaging to qualify for the rebate, which means (once again) no rebate for me...

Agreed...or require a UPC to be clipped out for redemption. I refuse to "damage" any packaging for a rebate.

I haven't given this much thought since it was announced, but if it is available for the DDD sale, this rebate may be enough to push me over the edge. I'm figuring that'd be $19.54 at the end. Seems like it might be worth it, I'll have to go back and read what the actual changes to the film are as the extras are iffy. Disc 3 seems the most interesting. Thanks for the heads up!

I thought I was the only person to refuse to do such a thing.

I don't think I'd mind cutting out the little UPC off the corner of an insert for $10, but no way would I degrade the case itself.

Novasonic, you are right; since my reply was late in the day, I believe I accidentally confused it with the release of KING KONG: Extended Edition, which is 11/14/06; many apologies all around.

I'd just go to a rental store and cut out the UPC code from one of their copies.

Haha, no need to apologize. I just got excited for a second, thinking it was coming out earlier. lol
