can someone tell me if they discontinued this cover art or not?

I think the answer to your question is yes. I saw AFD at WalMart for $4.88 and the cover art was different than the copy I have which shows the girls back with the noose pony tail. I have no doubt that the disc content is probably identical. There were several Paramount titles for $4.88 that had new cover art.

I saw the new cover at Best Buy this past Tuesday as well. So I'm sure that the old noose cover that I have is not being printed anymore. But the disc itself must be the same, or else we would have heard word of a uncut special edition or something.

It looks like they did replace the oringal cover (the girl with the noose ponytail) with a different cover -- mostly white with a girl's face reflecting in a knife blade and a noose.

Paramount's been doing that with a lot of DVDs lately -- Rosemary's Baby, My Bloody Valentine, Bringing Out the Dead, Chinatown, The Gift.

what are the chances of finding the original cover again now that their reprinted? None of the stores in my area have the original cover so I guess Im out of luck huh?

Although the new cover is kind of shitty IMO, the screen printed disc art remains the same.
