usually at used dvd stores, it's not so hard to find Jacob's Ladder for 6.99 (such as Hastings, but it depends on what region of the US you live in).

and i was about to mention that best buy sale concerning Audition, but bigT beat me to the punch.

i once found A Tale of Two Sisters for 5 bucks at a used videogame store. and i saw Session 9 for 6.99 once.

but the rest are pretty decent prices.

oh, and i think the user FooFighters or something is selling the criterion of The Vanishing for like 18-20 shipped on the dvd exchange section. check for the thread that says "selling entire criterion collection" or something of the sort. not a bad deal. i got some dvds from him last week.

Tale of Two Sisters 2 Disc Unrated is $12.99 at CC everyday if you can find it. Same price at FYE's current Halloween sale.

You should really start putting your topics in their appropriate areas.

Serpent & The Rainbow, Cat People and The Changeling were all in the $4.88 display at Wally World last week. And yeah, Frailty is usually hanging around the $5.50 dump bin. A Tale of Two Sisters is $8.88 at Wal-Mart but I think that may be the one disc version. Audition is on sale this week at Best Buy...

But, yeah, if you're going to order online then wait. The 20% sale is generally across the board.

That depends if you want to pay about $370 or about $295.....if you want to wait you can save $75.....you get 20% off all titles on DDD except pre orders.

Here's my suggestion:

dvdpricesearch.com

Wow, I had to edit my link because dvdtalk won't let you post a direct link to that website, instead it changes the url to dvdtalk price comparisan page.

Ummm... if you're in "no hurry", then why not wait for the DDD sale and decide once you've seen which titles get discounted? Pick up those that are on teh cheap from DDD, then get the rest at your leisure from wherever you want.

So what I seem to understand from your replies is that DDD is not the cheapest place to buy dvd's from there are other places that I should look at also. I thought ddd is a one stop shop to buy the dvd for the lowest price.

anyways I will try and look for the dvd's in the places you guys suggested.

Thanks

Cheers!!!

Serpent and the Rainbow, and Cat People are both part of this sale, so their prices are likely to go up before the 20% off sale starts. I don't know what their normal price is, but it could be that they're cheaper now.

There's no store, virtual or real, that's always going to have the cheapest price. DDD is the lowest a good chunk of the time, and they constantly have sales that offer really good deal, but it's still wise to comparison shop just to be sure.

It amazes me that nobody has bothered mentioning that the DDD sale applies to ALL titles.

DDD is great, but there are always exceptions. I buy a lot from DDD and I buy about twce that much else where. I order regularly from DVDPlanet and Amazon as well as some from Best Buy, BestPrices, MJEntertainment, and many more. If they sell DVDs, then I probaby have an account. I always look around before buying - You never know where the best deal will be - sometimes the lowest price even surprises me.
