Why not hawk Half and Amazon for someone selling the DVD without the cover & inserts? You could get a replacement disc for probably $10. Tons of people toss out the boxes and keep only the discs, then later sell them "as is".

How is it that a thread like this gets more life than some other serious threads??

My suggestion is to make a very cool coaster out of it. Use the Criterion artwork to roll a nice cigarette and use the keep case for another DVD.
