Interesting. I remember when Fox put out the new slipcase for My Cousin Vinny, it clearly said DUAL LAYER format. After some asking, at least 1 person here confirmed that it was the same SINGLE LAYER release as before. Given the error on My Cousin Vinny, I think it's likely the anamorphic statement on the Mrs. Doubtfire case is also an error. It's sad the people who produce these DVDs are so sloppy. It's false (but unintentional) advertising since some of us will upgrade just to get anamorphic and/or a better bit rate.

You were right not to take a chance, especially for $15. As Kirk once said "Don't believe 'em... don't trust 'em".

I picked it up at Best Buy the other day. It is the original release, however none of the copies that were out had the new holiday packaging.
