Question about the upcoming Kino release of Tarkovsky's "Stalker"?
Does anyone know what the specs are? Are they different from the Image release? Amazon/other stores don't seem to have specs on the Kino release. And the Kino website has no mention of the movie/release at all!
TIA

Am I to understand that this Ruscico port does not include the original soundtrack, only the severely mucked up 5.1 one? After all the complaints, fixes, exchanges that effected both the original Ruscico disc and the AE UK release... is Kino also going to drop the ball?
Fortunately, I've got this transfer already, and the original track included on my disc. But for those who don't... buyer beware.

I didn't know this was coming. thanks for the heads up. I guess it is time I finally just break down and buy this. I guess Criterion will not be releasing this ever. (They announced it many years ago as an upcoming title along with Ivan's Childhood.) I guess it is never going to happen?

I'm quite pleased with my Ruscico disc... but I only have the super scratched up film I watched in film school with which to compare. My expectations for image/sound quality were rather low. That I could clearly understand the dialogue was a positive step.
