Anyhow, back on topic, I have the Simpsons Season 11 and 12 scrapbook, (maybe it's 10 and 11) and reading about some of those episodes reassures me that if there was a fall off in quality, it didn't happen quite then. Maybe around 13 or 14.
We're seeing eye to eye. Season 13 and 14 is when I feel the show seriously began to loose steam. I guess I won't sucker punch you if I see you walking around. For Matt Wagner's sake, I better not see him walking around. Mage my ass!

Feature film? About eight years (at least) too late, both artistically and commercially...

I wonder if it's going to be an actual commentary, or if it's just going to be him saying "no" to doing a commentary, like Matt said they wanted to do on the previous DVD's.

Heh, I just noticed that too, it'll be very interesting to see what (if any) he has to say.

Because he's notoriously reclusive.

Cover art is up

Looks like Wikipedia guessed right, it's going to be music-themed which is not surprising given the Lisa's Sax episode. I could do without the 200th episode shout-out though.

Has anyone got theirs yet?
If the New York episode is intact (I'm guessing it would be) I'm there. At least I can finally get rid of my "Greatest Hits" VHS at some point (with the 200th episode).

LOL! You've been time travelling? It's the 4th. Season 9 doesn't come out until the 19th.

OK fair enough but I thought some e-tailors/stores might deliver early

I doubt they'll continue the head thing.

There were five regular one first, now five heads, why not have 5 of some other format?

Why not just keep everything uniform from the start? I'm grateful that FOX releases the two versions (the head, and the "old-style" box, which isn't the same, but close enough).

It really ticks me off when a TV series changes its packaging halfway through. Examples would be Simpsons (obviously) and The Shield and 24 have moved away from digipaks and went to slimlines with the most recent releases.
