Wish list for the rest of the year...

I have not bought many DVDs this year, but the Holiday always brings out the best in DVDs:

Grease (Rockin' Rydell Edition) - On Sale now (We have a singing household)
X-Men - The Last Stand - October 3, 2006 (Hate that this is not a 2 DVD set, and I never double dip)
Car - November 7, 2006 (Good, but not as great as the Other Pixars, but I have to complete my collection)
Pirates Of The Caribbean - Dead Mans Chest (2 Disc Widescreen Edition) - December 5, 2006 (Wife loves the movies, so do I)

Superman 14 Disk Set (Not sure when it will be on sale, but it is a must)

Mines far too big. Right now it contains a load of horror since there's tons coming out next week and stuff I still haven't got.

City of Men: The Complete Series
Homicide: LOTS Series
West Wing Series
Maltese Falcon 3-disc
Black Rain CE
Reservoir Dogs 15th Anniversary
SNL: Best of TV Funhouse
Oldboy 3-disc
1900: CE

Lots more things that I will pick up eventually, but the above is what I'll target at the DDD sale. Both Homicide and West Wing are priced well already.

Out of curiosity, does that come in any sort of fancy packaging, or is it the individual sets wrapped together?

I'll give my Top 5:

Maltese Falcon
Lady Vengeance
Ultimate Superman Collection
Green Mile
Scoop

That'll probably change if the other two Kurosawa CC remasters are actually announced. Oldboy's up there as well, but since I've already got the decent Tartan release, it's a slightly lower priority.

Clerks II and An Evening With Kevin Smith II are the only titles really screaming out for me to purchase. Everything else is secondary.

I actually ordered the Japanese version of The Little Mermaid because I like the packaging more and I'll enjoy listening to the Japanese dub.

I'm waiting on:

The Woods (I've already seen it, but I liked it and will add it to my collection)
Red Angel (Yasuzo Masumura)
Next Door (Scandanavian mind-bender)
Pandora's Box (which I've read good things about)
The Double Life of Veronique (already own the R2 version, but I liked it a lot and will probably also pick up the Criterion release)
Clerks II (HD-DVD)

For starters, almost every WB box set, the Disney Treasures, several Criterions, Flower Drum Song, King & I, Carousel, Reds, Forbidden Planet, O.Henry's Full House, DaVinci Code, 1900, The Conformist.

Toss in a few TV series, and a few imports, and you can quckly see that I have a serious problem!
