Problem with Original Trilogy DVDs....

I'm kinda stuck between taking back my Star Wars DVDs or just living with these annoyances but on ANH and ESB (havent had time to view RotJ yet), the original versions, there are some slight digitizations or almost skips. They are dual layer transfers (more than one), and they are only for a few seconds, but it can knock out pieces of dialogue. I bought them from Circuit City and ANH has more than ESB, many of them occuring around the Trench Run/last part of the film whereas Empire has more during the Hoth base (before the invasion if I recall).

Anyway, Circuit City should take them back and exchange for the same copies which, hopefully, won't have this issue.

Anyone else have this sort of problem? They were brand new and I hadn't even touched the disc before so it's not like it was my own fault.

Post away.

I'd say take them back, you paid money for them, might as well.

I've got a region 1 ANH and both discs play perfectly and a region 2 ESB and again both discs are perfect. I'd say take em back.

Could be your player. Try playing them in a different drive and see if it has the same problem.
