I wish they'd hurry up and get around to Sleeping Beauty again. I'm missing that release.

I'll definitely be buying both, "Peter Pan," and, "The Jungle Book." Those are two of my favourite Disney movies. I also need to buy the new release of, "The Little Mermaid."

funny looking back at these movies as an adult, both Pan and Jungle book would never get made today without certain elements never making the final cut. Pan is both racist and misogynistict as is Jungle Book - notably the end song 'I must go and fetch the water'

You realize they bumped Peter Pan (was it ever a Platinum-in-waiting-title?) up was to capitalize on the DTV release of TINKERBELL.

Yes, this is a sad reason for giving a release to a movie that has already been released on DVD twice, and we still have a crappy release of THE BLACK CAULDRON. It's Marketing.

Of course it's marketing. And even without the release of Tinkerbell, it's still a matter of marketing considering the fact that 'The Black Cauldron' wasn't a big hit for Disney when it first came out, it almost ruined them from what I recall hearing. I love that movie because it's so dark for a Disney film but it wasn't recieved very well.

I'm can't wait for the Jungle Book to be released next year. The Jungle Book is my favorite Disney movie ever.

An insert in The Little Mermaid release pegs Peter Pan - Platinum Edition specifically to March 6, 2007.

I'm excited about The Jungle Book, but I'm kinda scratching my head about Peter Pan. Pan was released not too long ago as an SE with remastered picture and sound, heck it even had a decent commentary track. I wonder how much of the SE will be ported over to the Platinum version.
