Organizing DVD question - multiple movies together
I know the 'how do you organize your DVDs' has been done (too?) many times, but I have a question that I don't think was answered before, though I could be wrong.
Where do you put DVD/DVD sets that include multiple unrelated movies? Such as Vault of Horror which includes 10 horror movies, or those Midnite Movies by MGM (although I don't have any of those)
Since I organize my DVDs alphabetically by title, I see 2 options: place it under V for Vault of Horror, or put all movie 'compilations' together at the end in alphabetical order (that's how I do it with my Various Artists CDs)
So, do you do one of those, or another? In case you didn't know, Vault of Horror is 5 DVDs in one case, each movie is not in its own case, so I can't just move each movie to where it belongs.

I would place compilations that have a title, such as "Vault of Horror" under V, and remember what titles are on there. As for the double feature discs, such as the MGM Midnite Movies, I would probably store them under whatever letter the first movie starts with. The only double feature disc I have is Omega Doom/Blind Fury, and I filed it under O, even though I really only bought it for Blind Fury.
That's just my opinion though, so others may differ.

I'm not familiar with the collections you mention, but I'll try to help. If the collection is a random collection I'd place them at the end of my collection after "Z". If they were a collection of films from a series that carries a title then I'd place the set under the series name in the "A-Z".

How badly do you want to organize them? You could get an empty DVD case for each movie. The case can be broken inside; it just needs to have the clear plastic for holding the outer title card. Print up a title card for each movie and a reference to where to find the movie; slide the card into the empty DVD case. Place the blank DVD case in the proper place on your shelf. Place the actual DVD(s) according to the collection title or most prominent movie, whichever you prefer.
