The Da Vinci Code --> Nov. 14th!
Just the confirmed date for now, other than the single and 2 disc seperate format releases.
Full details on Sept. 4th... |
Two-discer is mine!
|
2-disc, please have both theatrical and extended if you go that route and please don't be $39.99... I liked the movie a lot more than I thought I would after just reading the book. This one could have some interesting features if Sony gives it the proper treatment.
|
caint wait to get the dvd. I didnt get a chance to watch it in theaters.
|
Missed this in the theater as well, so I'm looking forward to the disc.
|
From the way it was bashed, I'm surprised anyone else is buying either one. I really enjoyed it, did not read the book, and thought it was pretty good. I'll definitely be picking up the 2 disc version.
|
Enjoyed the book .... enjoyed the movie ..... will enjoy owning the DVD.
|
I wasn't very impressed with the movie, but am still curious to see what will be included in the DVD.

I didn't watch it because of the reviews, and I did enjoy the book, so I didn't want to "ruin" that. I will probably Netflix this one and see if it is something I would want to watch again. |

I could see it now. This time next year we'll all read the announcement for a 4-Disc Ultimate Deluxe Special Edition with life-size Mona Lisa replica..
|
not quite. heres the region 2 extended set which is from switzerland. most of these sort of things arnt exclusive to one country so a uk release of this may happen. dunno about region 2 yet. but this is the longer version. not cheap.

Would be curious to see an extended cut if there is one.
24% on rottentomatoes btw... |
I don't see how anyone can legitimately denounce THE DA VINCI CODE as a "dumb story". |
I didn't care for it either (and I'm not religous). The story was alright but it was entirely too long and poorly paced. I'll Netflix the 2-discs to check out some of the special features, but there's no way I'll shell out $20+ for it...
|
Supposedly, this is gonna be the features (from a Norwegian site):
- Filmmaker Commentaries - First Day on the Set with Ron Howard - Book To Screen - A Portrait of Langdon - Who Is Sophie Neveu? - Unusual Suspects - Close Up On Mona Lisa - Recreating Works of Art - Magical Places - Da Vinci Tours - Da Vinci Props - The Filmmaking Experience - Visual Effects - Editing The Da Vinci Code - Scoring - Da Vinci (Film) Codes - Da Vinci Cameos - Deletes Scenes Featurette - DVD Introduction From Ron Howard |
I'll probably pick up the 2 discer here. They have the potential for a great DVD release on this one. I hope they include some of the documentaries from the History Channel and things of that sort.

Didn't enjoy it a whole ton, but the S.O. did so I'm sure the two-discer will be hers.
