Well, I have to admit I own seven seasons and have only watched the first. I will watch them but I keep watching other shows instead. Lately, I've been working my way through Futurama and I should be done with those soon.

I'll probably just watch the episodes, maybe a commentary here or there but I don't think I'll have the time.

I've watched these DVDs so many times, I try to blindly pick a season, then "eeny-meeny" a disc, then an episode. If it's one I'm sick to death of, I'll watch with commentary.

I watch the commentary tracks first, unless it's an episode I've never seen before (that happened maybe twice).

I tried that (except that I always watch all the episodes in order), but often the commentators would identify a great joke that was cut out of the synidcated version, and I'd inevitably have to rewind the disc and switch audio tracks to see what joke they're talking about was. It got to be annoying, so I now just alternate; episode first, then commentary track.

For larger (non-sitcom or cartoon) shows with fewer tracks (i.e. 'Buffy' or 'Sopranos') I just watch the whole season and then trawl through for bonus materials, commentary tracks and easter eggs.

Pretty much only the episodes. Not much time for all the commentaries.

Same here. Bought the 1st 3 seasons in that big set & never watched them. Just no interest anymore from burnout. Also, there are too many new things I have been viewing, reading, doing, etc. I have drifted away from comedy lately. Maybe years from now there will be a re-surge in my interest.

I used to watch The Three Stooges (another example) alot in the early 90's when they were sort of popular again. I enjoyed watching pretty much. That interest never came back to me.

I've only bought the first 3 seasons. At that time, I watched the episodes only, and moved on.

Then I realized that the Simpsons are on tv 4 times a day. Whether they are edited or not, I don't really care, the commercials are fine. I don't watch much tv, and when I do, it's because I'm doing something else at the same time.

Someday, I'll buy the rest of the sets.

I watch every episode in order. On occasion, I'll pick an episode to rewatch with the commentary- usually because it was a milestone type episode (like Who Shot Mr. Burns) or because it struck me as an episode that I'd really wanted to hear the creator's thoughts about (like the Homer vs. George Bush Sr. episode).

I watch all the episodes with commentaries and then the deleted scenes, then on certain episodes I go back and watch them without.

If it's an episode I absolutely fricking love, I'll watch the commentary...otherwise it's just the eps...but I'll go disc by disc before I move on. Some of the commentaries are great, but I just don't have the time to watch ALL of them.
